CNC milling is also known as Computer Numerical Control milling and it’s a manufacturing process which enables us to create components or tooling to the kind of ultra-fine tolerances required in the specialist sectors we serve.
Our in-house expertise is such that we can work in partnership with our clients to develop the item they need from whatever stage it has reached when they contact us.

How We Can Help
In the first instance, our experts will work with the client to create a 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design) utilising state of the art Solid Edge software. At this stage we can also produce a prototype via 3D printing, enabling clients to fine tune the item and eliminate any problems before committing to the time and cost of manufacture. Once the CAD model has been finalised the relevant information will be extracted by computer aided manufacturing software, which then drives the milling process itself.
The programming code of the CAD model will be used to control the machine head of the CNC milling machine. In the case of Pegrex, this facility includes 3 axis bed size milling machines, and our capacity is such that we can take on large batch work and also the creation of bespoke one-off items.
By combining CNC milling with the other facilities offered – such as CNC pressing and CNC turning - we can provide the kind of versatility which our clients have come to expect, enabling them to pick and choose the elements of our services which meet the demands of a specific project.
